I've always been into old and classic machines.
I get a lot of pleasure from restoring an aging and hard to find piece of equipment. I'll strip it down to its individual components and either repair or replace any damaged or faulty parts. If I can, I will then restore it to as original new condition as possible, but if that's just not plausible I'll probably decide to give it a custom paint and graphic look. As such I have acquired quite an extensive private collection which I have decided needs to be moved along...… a man only needs so many coffee machines! I will soon add a page to the website where I will post these, and you can let me know if you want to buy them or just require more information. They will be reasonably priced considering just how much work was involved. They are more labours of love than for profit, rather like when restoring a classic car. It will likely be mainly commercial coffee equipment, and I will try and add more as and when I do them.

Just a quick note on how I work here.
I'm a "LONE WOLF"..... I can't deny that. And I'm a hands on engineer. As such social media and website updates rank way, way down my list of favourite things to do. I get that they are important in today's world, yet I just can't seem to make myself post regularly or update old images. Much rather be elbow deep in nuts and bolts. But rest assured I'm here if you want to discuss anything. As long as the website is online there's a business......... believe me, I'll be happily removing it the minute I retire. I've never really fully embraced the new digital media age, feels too much like wasting valuable time to an old dinosaur like me. I MUST TRY HARDER If you are ever in the area, I urge you to try Piccolos Espresso Bar, Worksop, an artisan coffee shop serving freshly roasted coffee, toast and cakes, all of which are made entirely onsite.
The owner Tony sources, roasts, and makes the coffee on a hand pulled Victoria Arduino espresso machine, and is an expert in his craft. He specialises in getting each stage of the process to compliment the next. It's right up there as one of my favourite coffee destinations in the country, and I often take the near 2 hours round trip to get my favourite fix. Just make sure you try the sourdough toast!!!! We can now supply you with a commercial grade coffee roaster to enhance your business (or even your home coffee addiction). See our dedicated roaster page for information and then contact us for any extra details you may need. We can supply a multitude of sizes and styles so don't be shy in coming forward. James In these troubled times many things we take for granted have changed significantly. For us as a small speciality company working on individual custom items to order it has had a huge impact.
We normally work on word of mouth and recommendations and I personally meet up with people to discuss designs and to exchange products and money, particularly at the Gaggia shop in Castleford where I spend my weekends working. Margins are tight as we try to keep prices affordable for everybody, and as such we have no formal shop or store therefore reducing overheads. If you would like to buy any of our products you can contact me direct and I can give you either PayPal or company bank details, and I will then either personally bring your item or arrange delivery myself. I hope this somehow helps to get us all through these tough times, and I look forward to coming out the other side and pushing on with business in the wonderful coffee community. James Adams Here at Jo Wolfe we customise and hand-make many things. We're especially proud of our unique coffee accessories.
Inspiration usually comes from the growing coffee world around us, but sometimes we just go with a theme because we can! Why not check out some of our existing range or one off items in the ACCESSORIES page above, or feel free to contact us with your own ideas that you would like incorporated in an item. We really will consider making or customising anything for you if it grabs our attention!!! We now roast COFFEE !!!!
Using our unique hand-made coffee roaster we roast high quality single origin Arabica beans. Roasted in small batches and to a medium level these coffees allow the full flavours to be released after brewing. Click on the COFFEE page above to see our range, and then contact us for more details and purchase instructions. Click on the link ADVENTURES IN ROASTING for an overview of how I started out, and an opportunity to become involved in this exciting business venture.
Delivery was made today of this custom built "Small Shop" start up set. This soon to be opened new restaurant in Sale, Manchester will be serving delicious espresso based beverages on one of our very own hand-made machines.
If you're in the area why not pop in and say "ciao" to Andrea or Jazz and try it for yourself. James Why not come and see me in the Gaggia UK shop at Junction 32 Castleford where I'm normally at on Saturdays.
There are usually 2 or 3 of my customised machines on display, and we can discuss anything you may wish to talk about (coffee related of course!). I'll even make you a coffee on one of Gaggia's many coffee machines on display. If you are making a special journey just message me first to find out what times I will be around. James |
